FREC 3 Training with Jurassic Event Medical
First Response Emergency Care – Level 3 (FREC 3)
Looking to take your first step into professional pre-hospital care? Our FREC 3 course delivers the essential training and real-world skills needed to begin working in emergency medical services.
What is FREC 3?
FREC 3 is the entry-level qualification in the Ofqual-regulated First Response Emergency Care pathway. It's ideal for:

Event medics

Security professionals

First aiders looking to upskill

Those aiming to progress into ambulance or paramedic roles
Delivered by experienced, front-line clinicians, this course meets the Qualsafe Award Level 3 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) standards.
What You’ll Learn:
Over 5 intensive days, you’ll gain practical knowledge and confidence in:

Patient assessment and primary survey
-
Basic airway management (incl. suction and airway adjuncts)
-
CPR and AED use
-
Trauma care (bleeding, fractures, spinal injuries)
-
Medical emergencies (anaphylaxis, seizures, hypoglycaemia, asthma)
-
Manual handling and moving casualties
-
Administering life-saving medications (see below)
-
Communication, documentation & safeguarding
Medications You Can Use as a FREC 3
As a FREC 3, you’ll be trained and permitted to assist with/administer key medications under your scope of practice, including:

Adrenaline (1:10,000) – cardiac arrest
-
Amiodarone – cardiac arrest
-
Chlorphenamine – allergic reactions
-
Entonox – pain relief (with additional IW training)
-
Glucose gel (40%) – hypoglycaemia
-
GTN spray – cardiac chest pain
-
Ibuprofen & Paracetamol – pain relief
-
Ventolin (Salbutamol) – asthma
-
Penthrox (Methoxyflurane) – analgesia with additional training (IW)
-
Naloxone (Nasal) – opioid overdose (with additional training)
-
And more as defined in our clinical governance protocols
